About Rising Phoenix CRPS
Rising Phoenix is a non-profit organization, based out of Spokane, WA. It was developed in hopes of spreading awareness, support, and education for this terribly painful condition called CRPS.
Our mission
Rising Phoenix CRPS's mission is to increase awareness and provide support, knowledge and hope for those who suffer from the pain or disability of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS).
Rising Phoenix CRPS Inc.
- Connects individuals with CRPS/RSD with one another, if possible.
- Provides hope and tools, for current and future endeavors.
- Provides insight of a real life CRPS warriors story.
Rising Phoenix is by no means a place to go for medical advice. It is ran and organized by a fellow CRPS warrior. We do not and will not give medical advice for treatment. We are only a place that would like to give other CRPS/RSD warriors an outlet, a safe space to turn to. Our main goal for beginning was solely for creating a support group. Rising Phoenix CRPS then began noticing the need for so much more; a community, a place to go, possibly a voice of experience. So Rising Phoenix CRPS developed into a non-profit organization.
Jennifer RayCEO/Group FacilitatorMs. Ray turned a twenty-year personal battle with a rare disease into a regional movement for patient support. Diagnosed in 2005, at age 15 following a knee operation. She experienced the full devastating reality of CRPS in 2017 when the condition spread internally, leading to organ complications, an NG feeding tube, and an unknown prognosis from doctors who lacked the answers to treat her.
Refusing to let her story end in isolation, she created and established Rising Phoenix CRPS in 2018 to fill a critical void in her local healthcare support. For nearly a decade, she has dedicated her life to facilitating peer-led support groups, transforming vulnerable patients into a tight-knit family, and ensuring that no one in the Spokane area is left without a community that truly understands. |
